Snap Happy

You might remember that I posted a few months ago about my confuzzlement surrounding cameras. I was so confused by the deep ocean that is the camera market, that I pretty much drown in it and gave up all hope. I was disheartened and put-off so I delayed my search for a while. Until now.

We decided that for Lucky Sew and Sew and Thor's Threads we needed great product shots. So we finally took the plunge. With some guidance from my brohter-in-law, I decided to go for a Canon 550D, with a 50mm lense and a 18-55mm kit lense too. I got all of this from the website MPB, which has pre-loved cameras and accessories at a fraction of the cost of purchasing new. Plus, they grade their items depending on wear and tear so you know exactly what you are getting. We bagged the camera and both lenses for less than £300!

It arrived yesterday and I've had a quick play around. I love it already. I need a lot of practice, but I can really see why photography is so popular - it's really fun and slightly addictive!

So, i'll leave you with a couple of shots of snotty-nosed Rori that I took just now when she was in her high-chair eating olives and I was attempting to put the shopping away.
